The story behind it
Why I am making this.
I did not want this to be only a database of Catholic facts. I wanted it to feel like a kind guide for people who are curious, overwhelmed, returning, beginning again, or suddenly hungry to know everything they can about God, Jesus, the Bible, prayer, and Catholic life.
I am a recent Catholic convert. I was baptised as a baby in the Uniting Church in Australia, went to church as a child, then drifted from regular faith and did not think of myself as religious for most of my life. I went to a Catholic secondary school, but only recently found myself searching again, longing for more, and being surprised by the pull of Jesus.
That search has led me to weekly Mass, Scripture, prayer, worship music, Christian apologetics, Catholic teaching, and a growing hunger to learn everything I can about God, Jesus, the Bible, the sacraments, and the life of the Church. I am trying to let that change become quieter, deeper, and more visible in ordinary life.
I have a young family, and I hope to be a good example without becoming preachy. My hope is that love, peace, forgiveness, worship, and a steadier joy will speak first, and that my family will see faith not as pressure but as a path toward a genuinely full life in Christ.
The heart of the project is simple: faith should become more than an idea. It should become peace, courage, forgiveness, service, worship, and a life more visibly shaped by Jesus.
This site is very much a work in progress. I expect it to keep growing, improving, being corrected, and becoming more useful as I learn, pray, and listen to feedback from people who use it.
One surprising part of my own search was that AI chat tools like ChatGPT helped me ask religious questions more honestly. I expected that this kind of tool might push me away from faith, but when I asked serious questions and asked for answers from a Catholic perspective, it often helped me see the evidence for Jesus and God more clearly. It is not a replacement for Scripture, the Church, a priest, or real-life guidance, but it can be a helpful way to begin asking better questions.
